2010 Year End Vacation

Here is what we did in a nutshell.

Myrtle Beach, SC

We spent the first three days in Myrtle Beach, SC and thoroughly enjoyed the small crowds and cheap prices the off season has to offer. The only downside is that it was a little bit chilly, but that didn't stop Jeremy and Schuyler from playing in the sand on the beach.

U.S.S. North Carolina (Wilmington, NC)

One day was spent in Wilmington, NC visiting the U.S.S. North Carolina Battleship.

Schuyler and Jeremy next to the rescue plane that would get launched off of a catapult on the battleship.

Jeremy standing next to the explosive projectiles that would get shot out of the huge 16 inch diameter guns.

Jeremy is busy trying to shoot down enemy airplanes with one of the many anti-aircraft cannons on the ship.

Norfolk, VA

Jeremy was excited to finally see real aircraft carriers when we passed by Norfolk Shipyard.

Newport News, VA

Schuyler was excited to finally see the house that his family lived in when he was born over 31 years ago. Unfortunately the front two doors are no longer red.

Here is the Elementary School that some of Schuyler's siblings attended.

Colonial Williamsburg, VA

Schuyler and Jeremy were put on display next to the courthouse.

Schuyler and Jeremy are finally released from jail.

Great to have you back on your blog. Your vacation looks really fun. Was that you on the front porch of 464 Dunmore Drive in Newport News, Schuyler?
Lots of terrific memories in that house!
